Inter-species friendship… Redefinition of humanity

Sometimes I wonder whether animals are more HUMAN than humans. There are so many instances of friendships between animals of different species… even between prey and predator.

Makes one think and redefine what it means to be human. Why is it that a cat and a bird can be best of buddies when humans kill each other over religion and power?

Who or what does it mean to be human now?? Even animals are showing more tolerance to each other than Humans.

Is Mother Nature trying to tell us something? Or is God trying to show us something?

See for yourself:

Hmm… let’s switch places!

“Ooh, so this is what it looks like from inside here.” says Kitty.

Come on, let’s play!

“Hehe… gotcha! And attack! Yarh! Yarh!” says Kitty.

“Oh, I’m tired… time for a nap,” sighs Kitty.

“Hey, would you like a massage?” says Budgie.

“Aww… ur the best, buddy,” purred Kitty.

“First, we start on the head..” Budgie tweets.

“And then the back…” tweets Budgie.

“Hehe, hey that tickles!” quips Kitty.

“And finally, a peck on the head for a good night’s sleep!” says Budgie.

Why This Blog Is Called What It’s Called

If you are a Malaysian and somewhat intelligent, you would have figured out the name of my blog. Therefore, I shall explain WHY ‘pontianak’. Some years back, my late grandmother (Mom’s mom) was visiting at my house and we sat in the kitchen together with my sister. My sis said something really funny, so I cackled at the top of my lungs. Granny said with a disapproving frown, “Ah yo, chio siang ga iau kuai ah neh” (Hokkien for “My goodness… laughed like a she-devil”). Then, suddenly my mom cackled from the hall and Granny said, “No wonder.” I am also well-known for my laughter among friends and colleagues. Well, it’s kinda hard to explain why that is so until you hear it for yourself.
